Abstract
In today’s fast-paced digital environment,
organizations face significant challenges in managing and sharing resources
efficiently to maintain competitive advantage and foster collaboration. This
study investigates how electronic data processing (EDP) systems can optimize
resource sharing across various organizational units, aiming to enhance
operational efficiency and interdepartmental collaboration. The research
employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis from
case studies of organizations implementing EDP systems with qualitative
interviews of key stakeholders to capture both performance metrics and user
experiences. Findings reveal that the integration of advanced EDP systems
significantly reduces resource redundancy, shortens processing times, and
facilitates real-time data accessibility, thereby improving decision-making and
workflow coordination. Additionally, the study identifies critical success
factors such as system interoperability, user training, and robust data
governance frameworks that influence the effectiveness of resource sharing
initiatives. The conclusions underscore the importance of strategic deployment
of EDP systems to streamline resource allocation and promote collaborative
environments. This research provides practical insights for organizations
seeking to leverage technology to maximize resource utilization and enhance
overall productivity, contributing to the broader discourse on digital
transformation and operational excellence.
